Addressing health inequities and social determinants of health can improve NICU outcomes for America’s most vulnerable infants and their families. Health inequities, some of which occur long before a baby is born, can lead to pre-term birth, later health complications, and deny a child the opportunity for a healthy and full life. But these disparities are artificial constructs--not inevitable. The stress and harm that they cause, however, can last a lifetime.

During this webinar, neonatal experts Dr. Ellen Stang and Dr. Linda Genen will describe the window of opportunity for making early, targeted interventions that can reduce costs and improve the quality of care for premature infants in the NICU and beyond.
