Multicellular Tissue Models and Methods to Identify Tool Compounds for Interrogation of Novel Targets

Sponsored content for Concept Life Sciences by studioID

WEBINAR ON DEMAND
Duration: 1 hour

Despite great progress in our understanding of CNS structure and function, discovery of new therapeutics has been problematic characterized by high attrition rates. It is increasingly recognised that CNS insults involve complex interactions amongst multiple cell types.

In this webinar, we will discuss tractable models that better recapitulate complex cell-to-cell interactions that can be used to interrogate CNS biology and facilitate the drug discovery process. We will discuss:

  • That while multicellular tissue models can facilitate target validation for novel targets, there are not always suitable tool compounds available to investigate the biology further
  • A novel biophysical fragment-based library which can be used to identify novel inhibitors and modulators of CNS targets delivering lead-like compounds for neuroscience drug discovery projects
