How One School District Improved Its Literacy Outcomes

WEBINAR ON DEMAND
Duration: 1 hour

Recent research shows that reading scores are declining in more than half of all U.S. states, a trend that started even before the pandemic. As school districts look for ways to help improve student literacy outcomes, digital books are emerging as a helpful tool to meet students where they are and make high-interest books more accessible. Digital libraries also give students more agency and choice in their reading, helping to foster intrinsic motivation and engagement — ultimately leading to literacy gains.

Our new webinar explores the advantages of a digital collection, as shown in the correlation between higher reading test scores and adoption of ebooks and audiobooks in school districts.  Viewers will learn:

  • How to refute the “want versus need” pushback against digital integration
  • The transformative reading impact of high-interest and accessible books
  • How a fully stocked digital library leads to an achievement advantage
