Audience hijacking tactics occur when unmanaged browser extensions, plug-ins and add-ons divert potential customers away to competing — and sometimes malicious — sites. These unwanted activities that occur within the customer’s browser can not only affect user experience, but also lead to increased affiliate fraud and abuse.
