Session Information

Day 1: Wed., October 25th 1pm - 3:30pm EDT

1pm Featured keynote — Fostering breakthrough science: Innovation is the backbone of biotech. In this keynote, our industry leader will discuss what it takes to create an innovative culture and how companies can turn scientific breakthroughs into a pipeline that goes the distance.

1:25pm Panel discussion: After our keynote, join C-suite leaders from the industry who will discuss the state of innovation and how to “future proof” your pipeline.

Next, attendees can choose from the following concurrent sessions:
Track 1 - 2:10pm - 3:30pm - Building a biotech startup: Young biotech companies must contend with a down market that’s all but closed the IPO window. In our first discussion, hear about the steps some are taking to overcome this challenge, and how it is changing venture firms’ approach to funding promising research. Then, biotech executives and investors will share lessons learned from this challenging environment in our second session.
Track 2 - 2:10pm - 3:30pm - Genetic medicine: This year could bring the first approval of a CRISPR medicine. Behind it is an ever-growing pipeline of therapies with many twists on gene editing. In Session 1, get an understanding of what’s next for the field, followed by our second session covering what it will actually take to get these drugs to patients.

Day 2: Thu., October 26th, 1pm - 4:30pm EDT

1pm Featured keynote — The patient of the future: From wearable devices to interactive apps, the patient experience is becoming more digital and streamlined than ever before — especially in the realm of clinical trials. This keynote will zoom in on this rapidly evolving landscape and what it means for how pharma tests and develops drugs.

1:25pm Panel discussion: Hear from clinical trial pros who will explain how technology is transforming the space and what the future holds.

Next, attendees can choose from the following concurrent sessions:
Track 1 - 2:10pm - 3:40pm - Research hot spots: New Alzheimer’s and ALS drugs have put neuroscience research back in focus, while Ozempic and Wegovy sparked an industry gold rush for the next weight loss treatment. Join these two back-to-back sessions to learn what’s driving these fields forward.

Track 2 - 2:10pm - 3:40pm - Commercialization: As emerging technologies transform drug commercialization, it’s an opportune time for companies to explore their plans for launch. In our first session, industry pros will discuss the marketing strategies to keep, and the strategies to ditch, followed by a discussion on how the evolution in patient access will impact orphan drugs.

Thurs, October 26th at 3:40pm - 4:30 EDT
