Strained supply chains were one of the biggest challenges for retailers during the pandemic. A recent survey of 200 global retail executives found that nearly half cited disruption as their most pressing challenge—not a surprise given the volatile landscape. Product availability was the biggest problem for 42% of respondents, with on-time delivery to customers named the most pressing challenge by 40%.
These frustrations will continue to some degree—but retailers can adapt to the uncertainty with new processes that fit changing conditions.
