Countries around the globe need to reimagine their highways, buildings, power systems, and other infrastructure. In the U.S., for example, the American Society of Civil Engineers’ recently-released Infrastructure Report Card gave the country a C- and pointed out the need for significant investments to upgrade and replace aging infrastructure. The manufacturing industry, which includes building materials, paper products, and packaging goods are crucial to infrastructure upgrades and other society benefitting projects. 

Not surprisingly, the mill products industry is experiencing significant growth. But there are also many obstacles to that growth, some of them external and others more self-inflicted.We are going to look at both challenges and opportunities midsize companies need to navigate. For example, we are going to dive deep into the data visibility necessary for midsize firms to seize growth opportunities. To be more precise, think about how confidently you can answer questions like:

• What is my current inventory status?
• Which products are most profitable?
• What are my production costs?
• How efficient are my production processes?
• What are my order fulfillment times?
