Construction is the ultimate team sport. General Contractors, Owners, Construction Managers, Architects, Trade Contractors, Engineers, Fabricators, Suppliers and more work together toward the same shared outcome of a safe and functional building project. A single project could have thousands of drawings, not to mention specs, submittals, contracts, shop drawings and more. It opens builders and designers up to massive risk when you consider the potential for error when even one of those critical pieces of information is lost or misplaced.

We need to think carefully about the way we organize and manage our documents to get the right information in the right hands at the right time. If we’re building our technology stack on a shaky foundation of disorganized folders and siloed servers, well…as builders, we know that an unstable foundation is bound to collapse.

The simple solution is to “say it, find it, build it.”
