New research shows that more shoppers today prefer shopping online (39%) than shopping in-person (21%).
And these shoppers are frequent shoppers. An estimated 77% make online purchases several times a month. However, 74% of them have abandoned carts within the last month.
Why is this happening? In some cases, it can be a case of pure window shopping. Perhaps a shopper sees something they like and adds it to their cart but then ventures off to another site. Other data shows that customers admit taking the steps to order, but then say they just aren’t quite ready to commit.
